In order to be more welcoming, Judaism teaches us not to question the convert, nor ask about reasons for converting. While I respect this position, there is value in sharing one's journey. This session will present my personal conversion journey from a quiet, small town Maine girl who left a 23-year registered nurse career to attend Hebrew College, become Sisterhood president, High Holiday Ba'alat Tefilla and Hebrew teacher. Why did I choose Judaism? Who influenced me along the way? What skills did I learn along my journey that enabled me to be an effective leader? Come hear my story and know that HERE questions are welcomed!
